Am I the wrong profile to be a parent?
NO, absolutely not! There is no right or wrong profile for parenting.
Each style: Adventurer, Socialiser, Helper and Thinker has its’ own way
of parenting. No two styles parent in exactly the same way. Each style
has their own strengths to being a parent and will naturally have some
limitations. Being aware of your own parenting style gives you great
insight into how you can further develop your parenting skills.
Can I just have the reports done on my children?
Absolutely! The child reports give you great insight into how your child
thinks, what motivates them, how they like to learn, what career areas
they should explore, how you can best communicate with them and how you
can help them grow. The advantage of finding out your behavior profile
is you will see objectively the similarities and differences between you
and your children.
The Adult report gives you great information you can apply in the
workplace as well as in the home and it outlines your parenting style.
Our Family Interaction Table (FIT) will then show you how your profile
“fits” with the profiles of your children and it give fabulous
strategies on how you can enhance all of these relationships. To gain
the most from our profiling service we recommend you get profiles for
all your key family members including yourself.
Can I get reports done on my parents?
Yes! Get your parents (your children’s grandparents) involved too.
Viewing your parents more objectively can really help you understand why
they chose to parent you the way they did and why they have the
relationship with you and your children that they do. (It can also help
them understand you better!). Understanding and accepting all your
family members for who they really are is a wonderful way to break down
the barriers that often occur between different generations.
My child is under 4 years old can I have a report done on them?
Yes! You can complete the child questionnaire for children under 4. We
advise though to wait until the child is 4 years old. By the age of 4
their response to different situations is far clearer and you will find
it easier to answer the questions accurately.
My child is under 16 years old but very mature, which report
should I choose for them?
For any child under 16 we really recommend the child report. The child
reports give you great insight into how your child thinks what motivates
them, how they like to learn, what career areas they should explore. It
tells you how to best communicate with them and how you can help them
grow. It is a very valuable report for any child under 16.
I don’t have an email address, can you post me the report?
Sorry we can’t post out reports. If you don’t have an email address of
your own maybe you could use an email address of a friend.
Do you keep copies of the report and will anyone else see the
reports?
No! This is one of the great features of our web based system. Your
report is automatically generated and sent to your email address and the
email address of the person who purchased the voucher within
minutes of you completing it. We do not see the report. It is important
you save your report or print it out and keep it safe as we cannot
generate another copy if you lose the one you have.
I have lost my voucher number, what do I do?
If you bought your voucher from one of our HappyParentsHappyKids
Consultants give them a call and they will help you. (Their details are
on your receipt).
If you bought you voucher on line just send us an email via “contact” at the top
right of this webpage and we will help you.
What do the style intensity numbers mean on the front page of the
reports?
The style intensity numbers reflect just how much of each of the styles
(Adventurer, Socialiser, Thinker, Helper) influences the behaviour of you
or your child.
For example, you might have two children who are both Adventurer
Socialisers. The first child might have style intensity of 85%A 55%S
20%H 10%T. The second child might be 70%A 70%S 30%H 10%T. The first
child is more of an Adventurer than the second child while the second
child is really equally balanced between the Adventurer and the
Socialiser. In reading the Family Interaction Table – FIT you would
mainly need to read the Adventurer section for the first child. For the
second child you would need read both the Adventurer and Socialiser
sections as both style are equally dominant.
The Style intensity numbers are out of 100% for each of the four
styles. There is no right or wrong or pass or fail. Each of the
percentages simply reflects how much each of the styles influences
behaviour.
